Less than a week after tying Mo'ne Davis' Little League World Series record for strikeouts by a girl, the Phenix City, Alabama pitcher made more history.

She brought her strikeout total up to 14 for the tournament, once again tying Davis. In the process, she helped lead Alabama to a 6-5 win in an elimination game against Pennsylvania.

Rasmus came on to the mound in the top of the third with Alabama down five runs and desperate for something to change on defense. The star pitcher gave it exactly what it needed, picking up a double play to end the inning and stop the bleeding.

In the bottom of the third, Alabama cut into the lead with a handful of RBI singles before Rasmus stepped up to the plate and delivered the game-tying RBI on a single to left field.

Rasmus was spectacular on the mound the rest of the way, giving up just two hits over the final four innings.

She finished with six strikeouts and went 1-for-3 at the plate.

Rasmus was the hero on the mound, but Brooks Cameron served as the hero on offense. In extra innings, Alabama had the bases loaded with no outs, and Cameron hit one up the middle of the infield to drive in the game-winning run.

With Rasmus having tied Davis' Little League World Series record for strikeouts in the tournament, she'll have the chance to make even more history the next time up after Alabama punched its ticket to the next round.
