DHAKA: The Bangladesh Awami League has put forth a nine-point set of demands and proposals, including reducing prices of essential commodities, ensuring uninterrupted supplies of electricity, fuel, gas and fertiliser, reopening closed industries and lifting the ban on activities of the party, reports Ahsan Tasnim.The demands were adopted at a virtual meeting of party's Central Working Committee held on Friday, with party president and former PM Sheikh Hasina delivering the keynote address.Recent incidents have also indicated that the party is discussing its organisational future and Hasina's possible return to Bangladesh in Dec this year. The govt headed by Tarique Rahman is under pressure on multiple domestic issues.
