State regularises jr teachers appointed in 2023-24

Bhubaneswar: State govt on Thursday announced regularisation of Junior Teachers (Schematic) appointed during the 2023-24 recruitment cycle, declaring them assistant teachers of the elementary cadre.In a notification, the school and mass education department said that junior teachers recruited through the due selection process in 2023-24 and continuing in service would be regularised as assistant teachers in Level-V(A) of the elementary grade. The regularised teachers will be entitled to regular salary and other applicable benefits with retrospective effect from Jan 1.The department clarified that the service rendered by the teachers from their respective dates of joining till Dec 31, 2025, would be treated as service in a schematic/contractual capacity.
