TRICHY: AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami on Sunday took a swipe at chief minister Vijay’s UK visit, saying while the govt projected it as an effort to attract investments, photographs from there tell a different story.Speaking at an engagement ceremony of an AIADMK functionary in Trichy, EPS indirectly referred to photographs of Vijay flagging off a motor race at Silverstone.“It was believed that he was going to bring investments and improve the state’s economy. However, the photographs published in today’s newspapers tell a different story. Decide for yourself what they represent,” he said.He said no information or photo has come yet on the CM canvassing any business investment in London.Reiterating his allegations of horse-trading against the TVK govt, EPS likened AIADMK ‘turncoats’ to children lured with chocolates.“As a result, two constituencies have been notified for byelections. These are two constituencies won by AIADMK candidates with the effort of AIADMK cadres but because of horse-trading by TVK, they resigned, ” he said.EPS said the govt was surviving only because of MLAs from its alliance parties.“It would fall if their alliance parties withdraw. They are not standing on their own legs but with borrowed legs,” he said. Accusing the govt of failing to fulfil its poll promises, EPS said it was solely relying on social media reels instead.“It has been three years since the party was formed, but it has not done anything for the people. By doing nothing, TVK has come to power,” he said. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Trichy | Silver Rate in Trichy | Bank Holidays in Trichy | Public Holidays in TrichyStay updated with the latest Trichy news.
