At least 44 people were injured, including one seriously, after a passenger train derailed in northern France on Friday evening, officials said. The train, carrying around 180 passengers, was travelling between Rouen and Caen when it went off the tracks near Cléon in Normandy, shortly before 20:00 local time.An 18-year-old woman was critically injured and airlifted to Rouen University Hospital, while 43 others reportedly suffered minor injuries. Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said around 140 firefighters and emergency personnel were deployed to the scene. Uninjured passengers were taken to Cléon Town Hall. The cause of the derailment was not immediately known.
