Tamil Nadu to build new assembly, secretariat complex in Chennai

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu will construct a new building complex housing the state Legislative Assembly and Secretariat in Chennai, at an estimated cost of Rs 1,200 crore. The complex will come up over an area of 20 lakh sq ft and will incorporate modern facilities and infrastructure.The proposed complex will have fire safety systems, facilities for persons with disabilities and modern security infrastructure. Adequate parking facilities will also be provided.The complex will include modern facilities for state government departments, public service centres and officials.
