Energy Secretary Chris Wright appeared on four Sunday morning news programs after the U.S. and Iran traded tit-for-tat strikes this weekend.

Iranian officials on Sunday took credit for an attack on an unmanned U.S. military ship in the Strait of Hormuz. That strike came after the U.S. hit three Iranian crude oil carriers in response to “multiple unprovoked” attacks by Iran on two U.S. Navy warships.

Oil prices jumped earlier this week amid earlier renewed strikes by the two countries. The price of Brent crude oil , the international benchmark, hit $96.28 per barrel on Friday. Wright on Sunday downplayed the rising prices .
