ECI to review UP Assembly poll readiness, 18 districts to be assessed in Meerut on November 2

LUCKNOW: The Election Commission of India (ECI) will review preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections across 18 districts of western UP during a meeting in Meerut on Monday.Senior Deputy Election Commissioner Manish Garg, along with other senior ECI officials, will assess election-related arrangements and the progress made by district administrations.Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Navdeep Rinwa and other senior officials from the CEO's office will also attend the meeting.The review is scheduled to begin at 10.30 am on Monday at Urja Bhawan, the headquarters of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, on Jail Chungi Road in Saket, Meerut.The meeting will cover 18 districts falling under the Meerut, Saharanpur, Moradabad and Aligarh divisions.These include Meerut, Baghpat, Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Amroha, Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Aligarh, Etah, Hathras and Kasganj.Divisional commissioners, police commissioners, inspectors general and deputy inspectors general of police, district election officers, senior superintendents of police and superintendents of police from the respective jurisdictions will participate.Officials have been directed to make PowerPoint presentations detailing the progress of election preparations and administrative arrangements in their respective districts.The exercise is part of the Election Commission's preparations ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Lucknow | Silver Rate in Lucknow | Bank Holidays in Lucknow | Public Holidays in Lucknow | Lucknow AQI | Weather in Lucknow | Petrol Price in Lucknow | Diesel Price in Lucknow | CNG Price in Lucknow | LPG Price in LucknowStay updated with the latest Lucknow news.
