Two injured in explosion at railway station in Germany’s Augsburg

Two people sustained minor injuries after an unidentified object exploded at a train station in the southern German city of Augsburg, local media reported.Window panes were also damaged in the explosion, which occurred in a passageway inside the station.Police responded to the incident at around 5 am local time and cordoned off parts of the station as officers investigated the scene. An explosive-disposal robot was also deployed.The station was later completely shut down and rail services were suspended after police described the object as “suspicious”, without providing further details.
