Massachusetts police are looking for a 22-year-old man believed to be driving a black Dodge Charger after his mother was found dead of a gunshot wound in her kitchen early Thursday. Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said Reading police received the call around 12:38 a.m. Thursday, from the victim's husband, whom she said returned to his home on Center Avenue and found his wife dead in their kitchen, said in a news briefing streamed by local media. She identified the 911 caller as Matthew Hanafin, 48, and the victim as his wife, Andria Hanafin, 49. She said the couple's 13-year-old child was present in the home.
