Met Office issues yellow thunderstorm warning for East of England
An area of heavy showers and thunderstorms will move across the region on Saturday.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms across parts of the East of England.
It will be in place between 12:00 BST and 21:00 on Saturday in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Buckinghamshire.
"An area of heavy showers and thunderstorms will move across this region during the afternoon and early evening," the Met Office said.
It also warned there would "probably" be damage to buildings and some flooding.
Some short-term loss of power and other services was likely, the forecaster added.
Up to 30mm of rain is expected to fall across the region, with hail and lightning forecast as additional hazards.
