M Lokanadham arrest: ACB says CBI shared DA info on ‘some’ TTD employees, triggering anxiety
TIRUPATI: Fear and anxiety have gripped Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) employees as the Tirupati trust finds itself in the middle of yet another.
TIRUPATI: Fear and anxiety have gripped Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) employees as the Tirupati trust finds itself in the middle of yet another turmoil following the arrest of Tirumala temple deputy executive officer M Lokanadham in a disproportionate assets case by the ACB.More than the arrest, what has shocked Devasthanams employees is the manner in which the disproportionate assets case involving Lokanadham got linked to the sensational Tirumala laddu ghee adulteration case, despite the official having no direct links to the laddu ghee adulteration case.A senior TTD official, on condition of anonymity, pointed out that while the disproportionate assets case booked against Lokanadham has no direct or indirect links to the laddu ghee adulteration case, the first few sentences in the ACB press note have fuelled speculation among Devasthanams employees that Lokanadham’s arrest may not be a random case and that there is more to follow. As per the ACB press note, “the CBI completed investigation in Laddu ghee adulteration case and filed chargesheet. Further CBI shared some information about Disproportionate Assets of ‘some employees of TTD’ with ACB. In follow-up action, a Disproportionate Assets case was registered against K Chinna Appanna, personal assistant (PA) to the then TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy by ACB in April this year."The ACB note explicitly makes it clear that while a disproportionate assets case was booked by the ACB against K Chinna Appanna in connection with the laddu ghee adulteration case, the disproportionate assets case was booked against deputy EO Lokanadham based on information on disproportionate assets shared with the ACB by the CBI.As the ACB note also clearly states that disproportionate assets-related information of “some TTD employees” was shared by the CBI with the ACB, Devasthanams employees were left to ponder who the “other TTD employees” could be who may come under the ACB radar following Lokanadham’s arrest in the DA case.Meanwhile, the Tirupati trust, which finds itself in a spot of bother following the arrest of the Tirumala temple deputy EO less than two weeks before the Srivari annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala, appointed Reception deputy EO B Bhaskar as the new Tirumala temple deputy EO on Friday. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Vijayawada | Silver Rate in Vijayawada | Bank Holidays in Vijayawada | Public Holidays in Vijayawada | Petrol Price in Vijayawada | Diesel Price in Vijayawada | CNG Price in Vijayawada | LPG Price in VijayawadaStay updated with the latest Vijayawada news.
