Interim EC ruling on ‘real TMC’ likely on Sept 17

NEW DELHI: An interesting situation may be unfolding in Nandigram and Rejinagar, with both factions of TMC, one headed by Mamata Banerjee and the other by Ritabrata Banerjee, naming their own candidates for the bypolls while claiming to be the “real” party entitled to use its reserved symbol.EC, which heard the two factions Saturday, asked them to file written replies by Sept 16.
