Dewas villagers reach Collectorate, submit memorandum demanding permanent solution to ongoing drinking water crisis
Bhamori villagers in Dewas submit memorandum seeking permanent drinking water solution, urging connection to Narmada pipeline as borewells fail and taps run dry.
Indore: Residents of Bhamori village in Dewas district reached the Collectorate on Friday to submit a memorandum demanding a permanent solution to the ongoing drinking water crisis.Although a water tank under the Nal-Jal scheme stands in Bhamori, household taps remain dry following depletion of water levels in all three local borewells. Local women said that they walk one to two km daily to fetch water from open wells, while several families pay for private water tankers.Villagers said that remaining groundwater routinely dries up by December. They demanded that Bhamori be connected to Narmada pipeline currently being laid from Chapda to Karnawad, as, according to them, this was the only permanent measure to end recurring water shortage. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Indore | Silver Rate in Indore | Bank Holidays in Indore | Public Holidays in Indore | Petrol Price in Indore | Diesel Price in Indore | CNG Price in Indore | LPG Price in IndoreStay updated with the latest Indore news.
