Musician Tom Grennan returns to Bedford venue for free shows
The Little Bit of Love singer will play gigs at the venue where he performed as a teenager.
Singer-songwriter Tom Grennan has organised two free gigs at the music venue where he began performing as a teenager.
The Bedford-born musician is playing three venues over three days on his Looking Back Live tour, featuring what promoters described as "intimate acoustic sets in the rooms that helped shape his journey".
Tickets for the Little Bit Of Love singer's two shows at Bedford Esquires have already been allocated through an online lottery.
Venue owner Gareth Barber said: "We watched him grow as a young teen in local bands to the genuine star he has become and I'm really proud of how far he has gone."
Grennan has regularly returned to Esquires, where he frequently performed during his teenage years, while promoting his three number one albums.
Earlier this year he also headlined a concert at Bedford Park as part of the Bedford Summer Sessions.
Barber said: "He always possessed a unique voice and talent, but his hard work and dedication to being the best he can be is a testament to his character and serves as a blueprint for any aspiring local musician."
The tour began at The Finsbury in London on Monday, and Grennan will play the final two shows at O'Connell's in Manchester on Wednesday.
Promoters DICE have encouraged attendees to donate money on entry to each venue which will "go directly towards supporting these vital grassroots music spaces".
