Surrey prisoners' artwork goes on display at Guildford Cathedral
The free exhibition, called Transformations, is at Guildford Cathedral until 19 October.
Artwork from prisoners inside HMP Coldingley in Surrey is being exhibited at Guildford Cathedral.
The free exhibition, called Transformations, started on Tuesday and was due to run until 19 October.
The Very Reverend Bob Cooper, Dean of Guildford, said: "The Transformations exhibition reminds us that every person has inherent dignity and the capacity for change.
"Art has a remarkable ability to open conversations, encourage reflection and inspire hope."
The cathedral is also hosting an event called Transformative Power of Art on 12 October which will bring together faith leaders, prison practitioners and charity representatives who will discuss how art can benefit those in prison.
"The evening will also provide an opportunity to engage with wider questions around justice, redemption, community and second chances, with perspectives from those working directly in prison ministry and rehabilitation," a spokesperson from the cathedral said.
