NEW DELHI: “Cockroaches can survive a nuclear attack.
NEW DELHI: “Cockroaches can survive a nuclear attack. Yeh toh fir bhi chauthi pass raja hai,” Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-convener Ashutosh Ranka said in a social media post, vowing to continue the agitation against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar after being released from detention on Sunday.Sharing a video showing people detained by police inside a moving vehicle, Ranka said the protesters were not backing down and that their agitation was only beginning.“Cockroaches aren’t stopping. They are, in fact, just getting started,” he wrote in another post.CJP leader Ajinkya Shinde also posted the same video, with the caption, “Cockroaches in life, cockroaches in detention. But never forget, us cockroaches, never die.”Hours after being released from detention, CJP leaders on Sunday vowed to continue their agitation against Kumar, saying the protest would now expand nationwide.“This protest will not stop till Gyanesh resigns,” Ranka told news agency PTI.Ranka said the developments over the past 72 hours had reminded people of the Emergency, alleging that trains were cancelled and protesters were harassed to prevent them from reaching Delhi.“Even in 1975, trains were not shut,” he said.Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah of turning the agitation against the Election Commission into a confrontation with themselves, Ranka said the protest would continue until Kumar resigned. The CJP has been demanding Kumar’s resignation and has accused authorities of using the police to suppress its agitation.(With agency inputs)You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Delhi | Silver Rate in Delhi | Bank Holidays in Delhi | Public Holidays in Delhi | Delhi AQI | Weather in Delhi | Petrol Price in Delhi | Diesel Price in Delhi | CNG Price in Delhi | LPG Price in DelhiStay updated with the latest Delhi news.
