Lucknow: A defunct liquor bottling unit in Moradabad restarted commercial operations on Monday after being revived, marking a fresh capacity addition in Uttar Pradesh’s IMFL manufacturing base. The facility, with an initial production capacity of 60 lakh cases of Indian-made foreign liquor annually, will be operated by Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited. The company took over the plant in Jan 2026 for Rs 70 crore. The unit was earlier run by National Industrial Corporation Limited before operations shut down.Allied Blenders said the Moradabad facility will, over time, also be leveraged to expand its extra neutral alcohol production, a move aimed at reducing reliance on external channel partners and improving supply chain control.Managing director Amar Sinha said the start of operations would strengthen the company’s footprint in Uttar Pradesh and support its strategy of backward integration. He also credited the state’s excise policy and regulatory framework for boosting investor confidence and encouraging long-term investments. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Lucknow | Silver Rate in Lucknow | Bank Holidays in Lucknow | Public Holidays in Lucknow | Lucknow AQI | Weather in Lucknow | Petrol Price in Lucknow | Diesel Price in Lucknow | CNG Price in Lucknow | LPG Price in LucknowStay updated with the latest Lucknow news.
