Lean Into the Wind on Bournemouth's West Cliff set to be finished

A new art sculpture is being installed on Bournemouth's West Cliff.

Lean Into the Wind is part of BCP Council's government-funded Coastal Public Art and Heritage Trail and reflects the town's coastline and identity.

It was developed with input from schoolchildren and community groups and the trail aims to encourage visitors to explore the area's heritage.

Andy Martin, BCP Council's cabinet member for culture, communications and customer, said: "Installation is now complete and the remaining temporary fencing will begin to be removed next week, with some low-level fencing staying in place for a short time to allow newly seeded meadow grass to establish."

He added: "The project cost £54,000 and was fully funded through a UK Government grant, meaning there was no cost to local taxpayers."
