Accused in Punjab anti-drug activist's murder arrested in Rajasthan

MANSA: Ashwani Kumar, medical store owner at Mansa, has been arrested from Salasar in Rajasthan. Kumar is main accused in the killing of anti-drug activist Parwinder Singh Jhota, who was shot dead on Tuesday morning after he had an altercation with the chemist over sale of banned medicines. Kumar had fled after the incident on Tuesday morning.While the police had arrested Kumar’ cousin Vipin but Ashwani remained at large. The various police teams had been dispatched to arrest him. A police party succeeded in arresting him from Rajasthan.The protesters at Mansa had announced not to perform last rites till justice is delivered and the main accused are arrested.
