TVK Madurantakam candidate Maragatham Kumaravel’s income details differ in April and Oct poll affidavits

Chennai: Discrepancies have been found in the income details declared by TVK candidate Maragatham Kumaravel in her affidavit for the April 23 assembly election and the one filed for the Oct 6 bypoll.The affidavits show different income figures for Kumaravel and her spouse for the financial years 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25. Kumaravel declared her income for the year 2024-25 as ₹12.57 lakh in the first affidavit, but the one she filed for the bypoll shows the income for the same year as ₹5.87 lakh.Similarly, the income of her husband differed in the two affidavits.
