PUNE: Two brothers allegedly assaulted their elderly parents with wooden sticks after getting angry over the sale of land owned by their mother in Maharashtra's Pune district, police said on Wednesday.The incident took place on the evening of August 30 at Tarangwadi village in Indapur tehsil.According to a complaint filed by 65-year-old farmer Tukaram Raut, he and his ailing wife, Anjana, were out for a walk when their two sons, who live separately with their families in Malwadi, arrived in a car.The brothers allegedly questioned the couple about why land registered in Anjana's name had been sold before attacking them with wooden sticks.Tukaram suffered injuries to his back, face, thighs and shoulder, while his wife sustained injuries to her wrist and waist.
