Barabanki student alleges stalking, harassment; case filed

Lucknow: A college student staying with relatives in Barabanki has accused a youth of stalking, harassment and death threats after she stopped speaking to him.The student, a resident of a village in the Dariyabad area, is currently living with relatives in the city while continuing her studies.In her complaint to police, she said she had earlier been in contact with Aman Gautam but later ended communication.After that, she alleged, he began following her and repeatedly harassing her. The student said that on Friday, while she was on her way to college, Aman allegedly intercepted her on the road and tried to stop her. When she refused to talk, he allegedly threatened to kill her and misbehaved with her.Police said a case has been registered on the basis of her complaint and teams have been formed to trace the accused.
