Bullets were found lodged inside a wall and microwave after a gang targeting a young child fired shots at the wrong home, a court has heard.

A woman and her son were asleep inside the house in Pyle, Bridgend, during the shooting in the early hours of 22 September 2025, but neither were injured.

A jury at Cardiff Crown Court were shown footage of two men firing a 9mm pistol at the property before fleeing on an electric motorbike.

The court heard the incident was carried out in retaliation against alleged drug dealer Daniel O'Callaghan, after the gang believed he had taken drugs worth thousands of pounds from a hiding place in Guernsey.

On Thursday the jury were told the gang dealt drugs, including cocaine and ecstasy, on the Channel Islands and across south Wales.

The court previously heard police discovered a photograph of a child on a mobile phone belonging to one of the men standing trial, along with text messages between them both discussing targeting the youngster.

Kian Darkes and Daniel Clarke, both 21, and from the Bridgend area, admit having a firearm and ammunition in a public place but deny possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.

The video shown in court, filmed by the two men, show the 9mm pistol being pointed at the house before two shots are fired. It then shows the two men running away from the house.

Doorbell and security cameras in the area capture the two men making their getaway.

A carrier bag containing a hoodie, two sets of gloves and two face masks were later found in a shed at the Bridgend home of alleged gang member Kyle Long.

Gunshot residue was found and DNA tests later confirmed a match to both Darkes and Clarke.

Cardiff Crown Court was told O'Callaghan messaged Darkes after the shooting, telling him he had not taken the drugs.

"WTF is going on. Someone shot a gun. Is that for me? You need to tell me what is going on. I haven't done anything wrong. I've paid whatever I needed to pay. You need to know this wasn't me."

Long, 40, and Callum Pearson, 24, from Cardiff, both deny conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm with intent.

Jade Evans, 40, from Bridgend denies three counts of conspiracy to supply a Class A drug.
