Home guard slaps and drags woman by hair, arrested in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A home guard attached to the railway police was terminated from service by Cyberabad police commissioner M Ramesh on Saturday after he was found assaulting a woman near Hafeezpet railway station.Police also booked him in a criminal case and subsequently arrested him.The incident came to light after a video showing 36-year-old Kadiga Anand attacking the woman was circulated on social media.Director general of police CV Anand took note of the video and directed the Cyberabad police authorities to take action against the home guard.In the video, Kadiga Anand, who was in uniform, is seen repeatedly slapping the woman, grabbing her by the hair and dragging her before assaulting her in public.“On Friday evening, an incident was reported at Hafeezpet railway station wherein a Home Guard allegedly misbehaved with a woman, caught hold of her hair and dragged her.
