Jamie Nicolelee Kingston, a 30-year-old woman from West Palm Beach, was arrested and faces two felony charges after allegedly sending threatening messages to a man and his wife, including messages of harm and death.
The man reported that Kingston, whom he had an affair with, sent messages threatening his wife's life, his family, and his own life, leading to her arrest and booking into the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center on $40,000 total bond.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigated the telephone number used to send the threatening messages and found that it had been frequently used by Kingston in previous law-enforcement reports, leading to the issuance of a warrant for her arrest.
A married West Palm Beach man told deputies that he had previously had an affair with 30-year-old Jamie Nicolelee Kingston, whom he described as an exotic dancer at a local gentleman's club. The affair had ended, but the two remained in contact.
His wife eventually told him the communication needed to stop. He cut ties with Kingston on Sept. 25, and a heated exchange over TextNow followed.
According to a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office probable-cause affidavit , the messages allegedly escalated over the next day from threats against the wife, to the family, and finally to the man himself.
Kingston was arrested Sept. 30 and booked into the Palm Beach County Main Detention Center. She now faces two felony charges and remains listed in custody on $40,000 total bond.
The affidavit says the man and Kingston were involved in a heated text exchange during the early morning hours of Sept. 25. At about 7:51 a.m., Kingston allegedly turned her attention toward his wife.
"She needs to die," one message read, according to deputies. Another said, "I will f****** slit her throat."
The exchange picked up again that evening. At about 7 p.m., deputies say Kingston sent another series of messages that included "SHES DONE," "YOU JUST F***** UP" and "SAY BYE BYE TO YOUR LITTLE FAMILY."
Another message allegedly warned, "ILL DESTROY YOUR LITTLE F****** FREAK SHOW FAMILY."
By the following morning, the messages were directed at the man. At about 9:54 a.m. on Sept. 26, Kingston allegedly wrote, "Let me catch you in person. I'll f****** rip you apart," followed by "Tread lightly you f****** coward."
Another message said, "I want nothing but the worst for you if I see you in person, I'm f****** killing you."
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office investigated the telephone number used to send the messages and found that it was not new to its records.
The investigator wrote that the number had been "frequently and recently used" by Kingston in several previous law-enforcement reports, including reports as recent as Sept. 25. The affidavit does not explain what those earlier reports involved, so the records alone do not establish that she had previously been accused of a crime.
Deputies also said the content and context of the messages were self-identifying. The man told investigators that he had communicated with Kingston exclusively through that telephone number.
Based on the messages and the information connecting the number to Kingston, the sheriff's office sought a warrant for her arrest.
Kingston was arrested Sept. 30 and booked at 6:33 p.m., according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office inmate system .
She was booked on one felony count of written or electronic threats to kill or do bodily harm and one felony count of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
At her Oct. 1 first appearance, a judge set bond at $35,000 on the threat charge and $5,000 on the communications-device charge. The court also entered a no-contact order.
The sheriff's office currently lists Kingston at the Main Detention Center with no release date and $40,000 in total bond.
Court records show another hearing scheduled for Oct. 30, followed by an initial case conference on Dec. 3.
All parties are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
