Rly Board official inspects locomotive prdn at BLW

Varanasi: Additional member (Traction) of Railway Board, Somesh Kumar, visited Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) on Saturday and inspected key production units, including the Loco Frame Shop, Loco Assembly Shop and Loco Test Shops.During the visit, Kumar reviewed advanced technologies, production processes, quality standards and safety measures being followed in locomotive manufacturing. He also inspected the cab of the Amrit Bharat locomotive and was briefed on its various stages of manufacturing, technical capabilities and production procedures.Kumar held discussions with BLW officials on technical aspects and manufacturing practices and issued necessary guidelines.Later, a review meeting was held at the administrative building, where BLW’s production activities, technological advancements, locomotive manufacturing processes, quality standards and departmental functioning were discussed.BLW engineers presented details of departmental activities, achievements and technical progress during the meeting.
