Plans lodged for 90s-themed bar Wannabe in Lincoln city centre
The bar, named after a Spice Girls hit, will celebrate "the best decade ever", say its developers.
A 90s-themed nostalgia bar named Wannabe after the debut hit of the Spice Girls is set to open in Lincoln city centre if plans are approved.
Developers said the new bar at the former Cognito restaurant in Park Street would be built entirely around "the best decade ever".
The bar - named after the 1996 single which propelled the Spice Girls to worldwide fame - plans to open in December.
Promoted as "Lincoln's new 90s throwback bar", with neon lights and big tunes, it is also advertising for staff.
A licensing application seeks to approve changes to the floor layout and bar length.
Anyone wishing to comment on the application should contact the licensing team at City of Lincoln Council by 4 November.
Cognito closed the premises in January and relocated to the Pyewipe pub, according to the Local Democracy Reporting Service .
