Rayados, first Leagues Cup semi-finalists

We have the first team qualified for the Leagues Cup 2026 semifinals.

Rayados were the better side throughout the 90 minutes against the MLS team. Monterrey had the chance to take the lead but missed a penalty. But just minutes before the end of the first half, a great header from Guzmán gave them the lead.

At the start of the second half, Rayados were in control, but a mistake while playing out from the back was capitalized on by Chicago, who scored the equalizer.

With less than 10 minutes left on the clock, a stunning goal from Orbelín Pineda gave the Liga MX side the win.

Chicago were the better team during the knockout stage, but they could not show it against a Rayados side that is now waiting to find out its opponent in the next round.
