NEW DELHI: CJP leader Abhijeet Dipke on Friday expressed gratitude for the warmth and affection he received during his two-day visit to Bengaluru, saying he was leaving the city with a new family and a home to return to.In a post on X, Dipke said he was overwhelmed by the kindness he had experienced and thanked Kavitha Lankesh, Esha Lankesh, actor Prakash Raj and his elder sister Aafreen Nawaz for making his visit memorable.“Leaving Bengaluru with so much love in my heart. The warmth, affection and kindness I’ve received over the last two days have been truly overwhelming,” he wrote."Sending a big hug to my new family, Kavitha Lankesh and Esha Lankesh. I came here as a stranger and am leaving with a family I know I’ll keep coming back to, " he wrote.He also thanked Prakash Raj and Aafreen Nawaz for inviting him and introducing him to what he described as Bengaluru’s warmth and generosity.“You’ve all given me more than just beautiful memories. You’ve given me a home to return to,” Dipke added.Calls for nationwide mobilisation against SIRDipke called for nationwide mobilisation against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise and announced that the CJP would march to Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 10, demanding that the exercise be scrapped and accountability fixed for the alleged deletion of voters.Addressing a press conference on Thursday, the CJP founder said the agitation would go ahead even if the party’s leaders were detained or arrested.Dipke also criticised the Centre for restricting public gatherings in the national capital, questioning why peaceful protests were possible in Mumbai and Bengaluru but not in Delhi.“Jantar Mantar belongs to people of India, it does not belong to Union Home Minister Amit Shah,” Dipke told news agency PTI.“If Mumbai and Bengaluru can have peaceful protests, why is Amit Shah not allowing it in Delhi?” he asked.The CJP leader urged political parties, civil society groups and social activists to unite to protect voting rights.
