National team arrives in Kolkata for friendly with India

The Brazilian National Team arrived this Thursday (1st) in Kolkata, India, for this Saturday's (3rd) friendly against the home side. The players and coaching staff members reached the city after a flight departing from Brisbane, Australia.

The Seleção delegation received a warm welcome at the hotel where they will be staying ahead of the match. Hotel guests and team supporters formed a welcome line for the players.

The match will wrap up the FIFA international window for Brazil, who in this call-up drew 1-1 with Australia in Townsville and then beat the Socceroos 4-2. It also marks the first-ever meeting between the two national teams. Expectations are high among the local population, who are passionate about the Seleção.

Before taking the field on Saturday, the National Team will train this Friday (2nd) at the match venue, Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, in a session scheduled for 4 p.m. local time.

Brazil and India face off at 11 a.m. Brasília time (7:30 p.m. local time) on Saturday (3rd), with live coverage on TV Globo, sportv, GE TV, and Globoplay.
