Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday promised a job guarantee for govt posts if the party returns to power in the state in 2027, outlining a recruitment overhaul that includes a transparent process, an annual examination calendar and a special force to curb question paper leaks.Speaking at the ‘PDA Sankalp–Teacher and Aspirant Dialogue with Akhilesh Ji’ programme at Ram Manohar Lohia Park in Gomti Nagar, Akhilesh addressed students, job aspirants and parents, saying recruitment examinations would be conducted with strict safeguards and that those responsible for leaks would face strong action.“Examination papers do not merely get leaked; they are made to leak,” he said, alleging deliberate wrongdoing behind repeated leak incidents. He said a future SP govt would impose firm restrictions to prevent leaks and ensure accountability through stringent punitive measures.Akhilesh also announced that the outsourcing system would be abolished permanently, promising regular, permanent jobs in its place. He said teachers would receive better training facilities and support, linking improvements in education administration to wider employment outcomes.Emphasising the relationship between jobs and economic growth, he said no economy could progress without livelihood opportunities. He claimed young people were struggling to find work despite qualifications because of a gap between education and employment planning. The SP chief called for reforms in universities, alleging several campuses had become centres of ideological influence and factional groups, and said changes were necessary to improve institutional functioning.During the programme, representatives of coaching institutes flagged recruitment delays, vacant posts and the pressures faced by candidates preparing for competitive examinations.Akhilesh thanked organisers and recalled that Ram Manohar Lohia Park was developed during the SP govt led by Mulayam Singh Yadav, claiming it was built across five hectares without cutting trees, which were relocated. He cited the Agra-Lucknow Expressway as a key project from his tenure and criticised the BJP govt’s development claims for Gorakhpur and Varanasi.Referring to Lucknow, he said the city had grown as a hub for information technology and education, pointing to HCL and the IIIT campus, and said laptops distributed during the SP govt were still in use.‘Alliance focused on winning, not seat sharing’Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Tuesday said the opposition alliance should prioritise winning elections over bargaining about seat-sharing among partners. He said the key issue was not the number of seats each constituent would contest or which party would get which constituency, but how the alliance could secure victory. Reiterating the message, Akhilesh urged parties to focus on a unified strategy rather than internal negotiations. He said an alliance win would rise above individual party interests and reflect a collective effort to stop communalism from gaining ground again. Akhilesh said the alliance was committed to protecting democracy, the Constitution and reservation, restoring communal harmony, and ensuring national progress and prosperity. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Lucknow | Silver Rate in Lucknow | Bank Holidays in Lucknow | Public Holidays in Lucknow | Lucknow AQI | Weather in Lucknow | Petrol Price in Lucknow | Diesel Price in Lucknow | CNG Price in Lucknow | LPG Price in LucknowStay updated with the latest Lucknow news.
