The first legs of the Copa do Brasil Feminina semifinals begin this Tuesday (3). At 7 p.m., Bahia and Flamengo face off at Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador. Internacional take on Red Bull Bragantino on Wednesday (4) at 7:30 p.m. at Beira-Rio in Porto Alegre.
The teams advanced through the knockout rounds after thrilling quarterfinal clashes. The Meninas da Gávea eliminated Fluminense and will now face the Mulheres de Aço, who defeated reigning Brazilian champions São Paulo in the previous round. The Bragantinas, who overcame Ferroviária in the tournament's fifth round, will host the Coloradas, who secured their place by beating Atlético-MG on penalties.
The second legs will take place on November 7 and 8. The first finalist will be decided between Flamengo and Bahia at Luso Brasileiro at 9:30 p.m. The following day, at 11 a.m., Red Bull Bragantino and Internacional will battle for the other spot in the final.
The competition brought together 66 clubs from across the country. From the preliminary round through the fourth round, ties were played as single-leg knockout matches. From the fifth round onward, ties have been played over two legs.
