CJP's Abhijeet Dipke flags tribal school, unpaid ASHA salaries after 30+ child deaths in Balaghat

BALAGHAT: Days after visiting tribal villages in Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat district where more than 30 children have reportedly died, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has flagged the condition of a school for tribal children, alleged that ASHA workers have not received salaries for six months and questioned the quality of drinking water available in the villages.During his visit, Dipke inspected the school and checked the food being served to the tribal children.Dipke, who visited the affected tribal areas, shared pictures and videos from his visit on social media, questioning whether politicians would send their own children to schools with such facilities or make them drink the water available in the villages."This is a school for tribal children in Balaghat.Would our politicians ever send their own children to a school like this?The ASHA workers here have not received their salaries for last 6 months," Dipke posted on X.In another post, Dipke shared a video showing a tap in one of the tribal villages and wrote that he had found tap water there, asking whether ministers and MLAs would make their own children drink the same water."Found tap water in one of the Tribal villages in Balaghat where more than 30 kids have died.Would the Ministers and MLAs make their own children drink this water?" he posted.The posts come amid scrutiny over the deaths of more than 30 children, particularly from the Baiga tribal community, in remote villages of Balaghat.The Madhya Pradesh High Court has sought a response from the state government and Balaghat collector over the deaths.The Centre's investigation into the deaths found multiple clinical causes, including measles, malaria, co-infections, respiratory distress, dehydration, malnutrition, anaemia and shock, and said there was no evidence so far of a single pathogen being responsible for the fatalities.Dipke had earlier visited the affected villages and met families who had lost children, demanding that the administration fix responsibility for the deaths.His visit was also met with protests from some locals, who accused him of trying to politicise the tragedy.You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Bhopal | Silver Rate in Bhopal | Bank Holidays in Bhopal | Public Holidays in Bhopal | Petrol Price in Bhopal | Diesel Price in Bhopal | CNG Price in Bhopal | LPG Price in BhopalStay updated with the latest Bhopal news.
