AAP donor list revealed: Ashutosh Ranka among contributors; check how much Kejriwal gave

NEW DELHI: Former AAP spokesperson and now Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) co-convener Ashutosh Ranka donated Rs 21,100 to the Aam Aadmi Party during 2025-26, before taking up his role in the CJP, according to the party's contribution report filed with the Election Commission.The AAP disclosed Rs 12.10 crore in contributions for 2025-26, a 68% decline from the Rs 38.10 crore it reported in the previous financial year. Ranka is among the 1,202 numbered entries in the latest donor list.The report shows that Prudent Electoral Trust and Trident Limited were the AAP's biggest contributors, giving Rs 5 crore each. Together, their contributions accounted for nearly 83% of the party's total disclosed contributions.Trident was founded by former AAP Rajya Sabha MP Rajinder Gupta. Its Rs 5-crore cheque was dated January 9, 2026, when Gupta was associated with the AAP. He joined the BJP in April this year.How much did Kejriwal giveAAP chief Arvind Kejriwal made three contributions of Rs 10,000 each, taking his total to Rs 30,000 during the financial year.Former Delhi chief minister Atishi made 12 payments of Rs 3,500 each, totalling Rs 42,000. Punjab AAP president Aman Arora contributed Rs 1.20 lakh through 12 payments of Rs 10,000 each.The latest filing covers the first full financial year after the AAP lost power in Delhi in February 2025. The party continues to govern Punjab, where Trident is based.The AAP had disclosed Rs 11.06 crore in contributions in 2023-24, before the figure rose to Rs 38.10 crore in 2024-25. Prudent was the party's largest donor in 2024-25, contributing Rs 16.40 crore.Among other regional parties, the TDP reported Rs 58.25 crore in contributions for 2025-26, down from Rs 83.03 crore the previous year, while the YSR Congress Party reported Rs 24.31 crore, compared with around Rs 140.04 crore in 2024-25.
