CNN Director born in Nepal: 'This is beyond anyone's imagination'

For Sugam Pokharel, CNN's Director of International News, Video, covering the devastating floods in Nepal is deeply personal. Pokharel, who grew up in Nepal and returns every year, says several of his friends remain missing after traveling through one of the hardest-hit areas. While continuing to work from the newsroom, he describes seeing familiar places destroyed and the painful uncertainty families face while waiting for news. “In my lifetime, apart from the earthquake in 2015, I have never seen the level of destruction that we are seeing in Nepal right now,” he tells anchor Bianna Golodryga.
