NEW DELHI: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has summoned Meta India's managing director and head of public policy for a hearing on Wednesday, September 9, over allegations concerning advertisements linked to Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material (CSEAM) on Meta's platforms.The summons follows an inquiry initiated by the child rights body after it took suo motu cognisance of a BBC Eye report alleging the presence of advertisements related to CSEAM.The NCPCR had issued a notice to Meta Platforms Inc. on July 3, seeking an explanation from the company over the allegations.
