Visit Jersey given £500k to boost visitor numbers
The government gives Visit Jersey £500,000 to help increase visitor numbers in 2027.
A government has given a tourism body £500,000 to attract more visitors in 2027.
Ministers have approved the top-up grant for Visit Jersey for advertising and campaigns to attract tourists.
The Government of Jersey said the hospitality sector had seen an "improved season" in 2026 and it was "vital that this upward trend continues to help stabilise the sector, which had faced rising cost pressures and relatively low visitor numbers in recent years".
It said the investment supported its objective to grow the visitor economy by increasing overnight leisure visits and total visitor spend.
It said that by issuing the top-up grant now, the tourism board would be able to act to secure the advertising space and marketing campaigns required to boost visitor numbers in 2027.
