Ramgarh man visiting Durga Puja fair with wife found dead near bridge

Ramgarh: A 30-year-old man, who was visiting a fair with his wife on Wednesday evening, was found dead near a bridge hours later under Kuju police outpost limits of the district. The deceased was identified as Rohit Prajapati, a daily-wage labourer.Prajapati, a native of Argada, was living with his wife Anju (26) in a rented accommodation in Ramgarh town. He was found dead near a bridge in Argada with multiple external injuries.Rohit’s family members said he was visiting a fair in Argada, roughly 12 kilometres away from Ramgarh town, with his wife. During the outing, the couple allegedly had an argument. Enraged, Rohit reportedly left the fair alone. His family members launched a search when he did not return home till late in the night. His body was found near the bridge, and local police was called in.Ashutosh Kumar Singh, the in-charge of Kuju outpost, said, “Prima facie, the case appears suspicious and murder is not ruled out. However, the exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem examination report is received.” Singh said a case has been registered, and Anju is being questioned along with his family members.Stay updated with the latest Ranchi news.
