Case filed against Mamata Banerjee over violation of Calcutta high court order

KOLKATA: Kolkata Police on Saturday registered a suo motu FIR against former West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee.

KOLKATA: Kolkata Police on Saturday registered a suo motu FIR against former West Bengal chief minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee for allegedly violating conditions imposed by the Calcutta high court for a Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) foundation day event.The FIR was registered at Hastings Police Station against Banerjee and the organisers of the TMCP meeting, a police officer said, news agency PTI reported."The FIR has been registered for the alleged violation of the court's order.
