Two killed in road accidents in Palakkad

Palakkad: Two people were killed in separate road accidents in Palakkad.In the first incident, a 30-year-old man died after his motorcycle collided with a scooter at Chittadi near Mangalam Dam on Saturday night.The deceased was Manoj, a native of Odukkoor. The accident occurred around 11pm. Manoj was travelling from Vandazhi towards Odukkoor, while the scooter was coming from Kaniyamangalam towards Chittadi when the vehicles collided.Manoj suffered serious head injuries in the accident and died. Shiju, who was riding pillion on Manoj’s motorcycle, sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital.In the second incident, a 17-year-old boy died on Sunday three days after he sustained serious injuries in an accident with a mini truck in Muthalamada.The deceased was Mohammed Yashik, son of Sadiq Basha and Kayaruneesa of Adavumaram in Muthalamada.The accident occurred on the Chemmanampathi road near Narippara Challa.
