New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested three men in two separate cheating cases involving a garment supplier and a medical equipment dealer, with the alleged fraud amounting to over Rs 62 lakh. Two accused were arrested from Delhi-NCR, while the third was apprehended from Rajasthan’s Alwar. In the first case, police said they received multiple complaints from wholesale garment suppliers who alleged that they had been cheated of around Rs 45 lakh by a firm, Iqra Fashion, and its associates. Two men, identified as Musheer Khan and Shahrukh, allegedly contacted suppliers through an online B2B platform, placed orders on credit and obtained garment consignments. However, payments were allegedly not made and the men later became untraceable.During the investigation, teams led by ACP Anil Sharma found the firm’s office closed and the duo’s phones switched off. Subsequent raids across Delhi-NCR led to the arrest of the accused.Police said Khan had previously worked as a salesman in a wholesale garment market and was familiar with the business practices of traders. Investigators alleged that he used this knowledge to defraud suppliers. Two mobile phones were recovered and are being examined for digital evidence. In the second case, a complaint was lodged on Jan 19 alleging that medical goods worth more than Rs 17 lakh had been procured using fabricated screenshots purportedly showing successful bank transfers.Technical analysis led police to Aslam, who was arrested from Alwar.During interrogation, Aslam allegedly told police that he worked as a technician’s assistant at a govt hospital in Alwar and was familiar with medical equipment. Investigators alleged that he had incurred heavy losses in cricket betting and resorted to cheating to repay debts.Police said the accused disclosed that he had sold the medical equipment to a firm in Delhi at a fraction of its value. The alleged purchaser has been served a notice to join the investigation and produce the goods for verification. His role is being examined.“Aslam has a history of being involved in similar offences. Our investigation has brought to light suspected links of the accused with similar cheating incidents in Maharashtra, allegedly involving the use of an online B2B platform to identify suppliers and procure goods through fraudulent means. These cases and the accused’s possible involvement are being verified with the authorities,” said DCP Vineet Kumar. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Delhi | Silver Rate in Delhi | Bank Holidays in Delhi | Public Holidays in Delhi | Delhi AQI | Weather in Delhi | Petrol Price in Delhi | Diesel Price in Delhi | CNG Price in Delhi | LPG Price in DelhiStay updated with the latest Delhi news.
