New Delhi: Abhijit Dipke, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder, landed in Delhi Wednesdasy and called on all his supporters to gather at Central Park in Connaught Place Friday with the Tricolour.“Waving our national flag is a fundamental expression of our patriotism, not a criminal act,” Dipke said in a video message. “The state’s heavy-handed crackdown on dissent will not silence people. I urge every citizen who believes in democratic rights to reach Central Park this Friday, carrying the Tricolour. If the administration wants to arrest peaceful citizens simply for holding the national flag, let them prepare their jails,” he said.Hours before, in Nagpur, Dipke said the arrest of his associates, Saurabh Das and Ashutosh Ranka, was an attempt by govt to impose an undeclared Emergency in the country. “I want to tell Narendra Modi, if you want to clamp Emergency, then have the guts to make it official. Why are you enforcing an unofficial Emergency by detaining people for five days just for waving the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar?” he asked. He was referring to the arrests of the CJP members. Das and Ranka were remanded in judicial custody for five days after being detained for allegedly unfurling the Tricolour at Jantar Mantar. “Has waving the national flag become a sin under PM Narendra Modi’s rule?” Dipke asked. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Delhi | Silver Rate in Delhi | Bank Holidays in Delhi | Public Holidays in Delhi | Delhi AQI | Weather in Delhi | Petrol Price in Delhi | Diesel Price in Delhi | CNG Price in Delhi | LPG Price in DelhiStay updated with the latest Delhi news.
