Vaibhav Sooryavanshi score today for New Zealand vs. India 5th T20I in Hamilton

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was dropped from the Indian starting lineup in the 4th T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park, Auckland, earlier this week.

Despite Sooryavanshi playing a key role in India's series win in the third match of the series, the southpaw was forced to sit out as Ishan Kishan returned to the starting lineup following his recovery from injury.

India will play their fifth and final T20I of the ongoing series in Hamilton on November 1 and it remains to be seen if the 15-year-old gets a chance to play the final game, which is essentially a dead rubber.

In his last outing, Vaibhav Soorayavanshi scored 45 off just 19 balls to leave India at 133/1.

Matthew Fisher struck on his very first delivery in T20I cricket to dismiss the teen sensation. It was a length delivery around leg stump, which prompted Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to make room and target the long-on fence.

The southpaw didn't get all of it, toe-ending the lofted drive high into the outfield. Daryl Mitchell charged in from long-on and took a tumbling catch to his right.
