Free Hull exhibit showcasing more than 300 artworks
The Open Exhibition at Ferens Art Gallery in Hull is now free to visit until 10 January.
A free exhibition has returned to Hull with more than 300 pieces of art on display.
The artworks for the Open Exhibition at Ferens Art Gallery were chosen by a panel of judges and include art made by both amateur and professional artists.
Kerri Offord, Curator of Art at Ferens Art Gallery, said: "There is such an exciting range of 2D and sculptural works on display in the exhibition. We hope our visitors are inspired to be creative after their visit."
The event began on Friday and will run until 10 January 2027 alongside the Young Artist Open Exhibition, showcasing work from artists aged 15 and under.
Forms of art at the exhibit include paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, textiles and film, with several of the artists from Hull and the surrounding area.
Some of the pieces will be on sale and there will be free 10-minute talks from the artists as part of the exhibit.
Artwork for the Young Artist Open Exhibition was submitted by individuals, schools and local community groups.
Jackie Dad, deputy leader and portfolio holder for culture at Hull City Council said: "This year the panel of judges have selected a diverse range of works, resulting in a captivating exhibition."
The gallery is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 16:30 BST and on Sundays from 11:00 to 16:00.
