Claude Campus Ambassador 2026: Anthropic offers $3,600 stipend to student AI leaders

Anthropic has opened applications for the Claude Campus Ambassador Programme, offering university students and researchers an opportunity to lead artificial intelligence initiatives on their campuses. Selected ambassadors will receive a $3,600 cash stipend while working with Anthropic on student communities, workshops, events and AI education activities.The programme has three pathways based on academic level and interests. Undergraduate students can apply to lead Claude Builder Clubs, master’s students can organise Claude Campus Conversations, while PhD students and postdoctoral researchers can lead Claude Science workshops. The programme focuses on AI education, innovation, research and responsible technology adoption.Undergraduate students can lead Claude Builder ClubsUndergraduate students passionate about AI and campus innovation can apply to establish and lead a Claude Builder Club. The role involves working with Anthropic to create a community for students interested in building with AI.Ambassadors will organise technical and non-technical workshops, hackathons, demonstration events and other activities. They will also share regular updates, practical tips and resources with members. Participants will have access to resources including API credits for experimenting with AI-powered projects. Selected undergraduate ambassadors will receive a $3,600 cash stipend.Master’s students can host Claude Campus ConversationsMaster’s students studying STEM or humanities disciplines can apply for Claude Campus Conversations. This pathway focuses on discussions about AI’s role in education and society, alongside practical experiences with Claude.Ambassadors will host discussion groups and campus events, help students develop AI fluency, and create opportunities to showcase and discuss Claude projects. They will also connect with the wider global ambassador community and have an opportunity to visit the Anthropic office. The stipend is $3,600.PhD students and postdocs can organise science workshopsPhD students and postdoctoral researchers using AI to advance scientific or academic research can apply for the Claude Science pathway.Selected ambassadors will build communities of AI-focused researchers, organise Claude for Science workshops and participate in speaker events involving Anthropic’s mathematics and science teams.
