GATE 2027 notification: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has released the GATE 2027 notification for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. The notification was issued on July 20, 2026, with online applications opening on September 2. Candidates currently studying in the third year or higher of an undergraduate degree, or those who have completed a degree in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce or Arts, can apply, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions.Application fee and registration processThe application fee is Rs 1,000 for female candidates and candidates belonging to the SC, ST and PwD categories. For other candidates, the fee is Rs 2,000. Payments can be made online through UPI, Net Banking or credit and debit cards.Applicants must register using a valid email address and mobile number to obtain an Enrolment ID.
