Vance, RFK Jr., Mike Tyson to speak at MAHA Summit in DC

Vice President Vance, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former boxing heavyweight Mike Tyson are slated to speak Tuesday for the second Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Summit in Washington, D.C.

The event will conclude with a “fireside chat” between Vance and Kennedy, the summit’s agenda online shows . Organizers told Politico that the discussion will be “about MAHA’s accomplishments, its regulatory reform agenda and its priorities for the year ahead.”

“Since January 2025, thanks to the work of @SecKennedy and the team over at @HHSGov, we have been fulfilling that promise to the American people, and the great MAHA movement,” Vance wrote Monday on the social platform X . “Tune in tomorrow to hear more about the great work being done, and what is coming in the future to secure a stronger nation full of healthier Americans.”

Kennedy’s wife, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star Cheryl Hines, will precede her husband and the vice president to deliver an “exciting announcement,” according to the agenda.

Tyson will take part in a panel about the “MAHA athlete,” having appeared in a Super Bowl ad earlier this year promoting the MAHA campaign and urging people to eat “real food.” Last year’s speakers for this portion of the summit featured former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, UFC President Dana White and Russell Cook, the co-founder and president of fitness app FitOn.

The boxer has been a longtime friend of President Trump since the 1980s. As a businessman, Trump served as Tyson’s business adviser and later defended the boxer before and after he was convicted of rape in 1992. Trump later appeared among several celebrities at Tyson’s first fight after he was released from prison — against Peter McNeeley in 1995.

Other speakers set to appear at the summit include comedian Russell Brand, who will moderate a discussion with U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Mehmet Oz and HHS chief counselor Chris Klomp about reforms made to the CMS. Brand has been a supporter of the MAHA campaign, Politico reported.

Brand is set to go to trial next month in the United Kingdom on several charges of rape and sexual assault . The comedian has denied any wrongdoing.

Cabinet members joining to speak include Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin. Rollins will be part of a “fireside chat” with Ohalo Genetics CEO David Friedberg about “securing America’s food supply and environmental innovation,” while Zeldin will be part of a panel moderated by summit organizer Tony Lyons about “modernizing MAHA regulation.”

Walmart Senior Vice President Scott Morris, Sweetgreen CEO Jonathan Neman and chief MAHA officer at Steak ‘n Shake Michael Boes will be part of a talk on “real food at scale” moderated by HHS deputy chief of staff Stefanie Spear. Boes previously worked as a senior HHS adviser before joining Steak ‘n Shake.

Walmart is one of the summit’s sponsors, along with Anthropic, OpenAI, Noom, Hims & Hers, Helus Pharma and Wild Alaskan Company, among others.

The event is intended to show the MAHA movement’s changes to food and health safety in the U.S. ahead of the November midterm elections, which could have an impact on Kennedy’s agenda at the HHS.

Lyons has asked MAHA campaign members to vote Republican in November to prevent Kennedy from appearing before Democratic-controlled hearings should the party reclaim either chamber of Congress after the midterms, according to Politico.

Trump has had Kennedy appear on the campaign trail in key battleground House districts to promote the MAHA agenda. The president will be able to prioritize more of Kennedy’s agenda should the MAHA coalition become a reliable conservative voting bloc in November.
