At Balachaur rally, Saini pitches BJP’s 2027 Punjab return
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini says BJP will form Punjab govt in Feb 2027; targets AAP and Congress over drugs, jobs; urges youth to shun drugs.
Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday projected the BJP as the alternative to AAP and Congress in Punjab, asserting that a govt under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership would be formed in the state in Feb 2027.Addressing a youth rally at Bagowal village in Balachaur constituency, Saini accused successive governments of failing to tackle Punjab’s drug crisis and provide employment to young people. He urged the youth to stay away from drugs, pursue their ambitions and contribute to the development of their villages and society.During the event, activist Ravi Inder Singh Balachaur joined the BJP along with several associates. Welcoming them, Saini assured them of respect and recognition within the party. The CM said Punjab was passing through a difficult phase, with drugs destroying families and holding back development. He accused Congress of failing to fulfil its promise to eradicate drugs and AAP of reneging on its commitments to eliminate drug abuse and provide employment to 25 lakh youth. Claiming that the AAP government had failed to deliver on its promises despite setting deadlines to eradicate drugs, Saini alleged that it had proved more corrupt than Congress and was registering cases against those who spoke out against drug sales.Calling for a ‘Rangla Punjab’, he said every child should have access to a playground, every youth an opportunity to progress and every family support against drugs. The BJP’s anti-drug yatra had received public support, he claimed, adding that improving rural sports stadiums and promoting sports would help keep young people away from drugs.Saini urged youth to dream big but not be compelled by circumstances to migrate abroad or take the ‘dunki route’. Better educational institutions, skill centres, industries, modern agriculture and stronger small businesses could create opportunities in their own villages and towns, he said. You Can Also Check: Gold Rate in Chandigarh | Silver Rate in Chandigarh | Bank Holidays in Chandigarh | Public Holidays in Chandigarh | Chandigarh AQI | Weather in Chandigarh | Petrol Price in Chandigarh | Diesel Price in Chandigarh | CNG Price in Chandigarh | LPG Price in ChandigarhStay updated with the latest Chandigarh news.
