Democrats are making the case that they’re the normal ones , betting that voters in 2028 will be tired of President Trump and will vote for a Democratic candidate seen as reasonable.

It’s a backlash to the wildness of the Trump years, but also an effort by Democrats to come back from what some see as the excesses of the woke era. It also comes as the party is being pulled apart by the battle between centrists and democratic socialists in primaries around the country.
